At Camera Recycle Ltd, sustainability is at the heart of our operations. We understand our responsibility towards the environment and make continuous efforts to reduce our carbon footprint.
We see new uses for unused things. Unused digital and analogue cameras can easily be resold to collectors and enthusiasts. Broken and incomplete items will be sold on as spares and repairs market to be repurposed into new items. When something can’t be repurposed - and we always try - we’re committed to recycling them as diligently as possible.
Moreover, we are proud partners with Ecologi, a renowned environmental organisation. For every sale we make, we contribute towards planting a tree – a small step towards a greener planet.
Repurposing
The most environmentally friendly thing to do is to have the items reused for their intended purpose for as long as possible. This is why most of our stock is lightly refurbished and resold.
Recycling
A large number of products out there that once were new and immediately useful, over time, they end up not being used. These things took an incredible amount of resources to make. Where possible, these items are sent to repairists to revive them. If they are unrepairable we aim to recycle and dispose of them in the best way possible.
Offsetting
We’re aiming to reduce our entire carbon footprint and emissions that are contributed through our business. We are in regular contact with delivery drivers which is our main discrepancy and we use as many recyclable materials as possible. Through Ecologi, we are offsetting our carbon footprint by contributing to sustainable projects and planting trees.For every sale that we make we plant a tree with Ecologi.
